Loan terms

How IMSSM loans work

Every figure below is applied by the system itself, so what you are told is what you are charged.

Interest rate
1.5% per month on the reducing balance. Interest is charged only on what you still owe, so it falls with every repayment.
Eligibility
Under current IMSSM policy, a member may become eligible to apply about one month (30 days) after membership verification. Eligibility to apply is not approval: every request is assessed on savings and activity, repayment history, loan capacity, guarantor requirements and other conditions. This waiting period is set by IMSSM and can be reviewed.
Repayment period
Up to 24 months, agreed at approval. You see the full instalment schedule before any money is released.
Guarantor & consent
A guarantor is required, and you sign a loan agreement and recovery consent. IMSSM does not operate automatic deductions on your bank accounts.

Business training may be recommended for larger facilities. Loan terms are set by IMSSM and may be reviewed; members are notified before any change takes effect.
